I first did a version of this at a cafe in Salamanca in 1998.
I think some governments do get addicted to pointless and lethal wars.
Also they get addicted to arms manufacture and selling.
And unfortunately they end up using them.
So it's a good metaphor really.
I have seen really good versions of ciggies as missiles designs.
When I was a smoker I really liked Lucky Strike.
They did seem to have a distinct flavour. Or maybe it was my imagination and the power of adverts.
But I would have smoked anything.
Smoking is bonkers and so are bombs.
I hope someone does a better version of the same design. Please feel very free to.
It's also an allusion to the myth that US bombing is done with some kind of precision. There are very often mistakes and pointless massacres.
